Don't worry about it, the same thing happened to me like 3 days before
surgery. I had a chest cold and was
congested. What I did was buy Cold-eeze. They should make your cold last a couple of days and you will
feel great. You still have plenty of time so go out and buy some so that
you can feel better. As a matter of fact I took the last one the night
before and my nose was a little bit stuffy the morning of surgery, which I
told the anesthesiologist and he said it was fine. Hope this makes you feel
better. Good luck

I swear this seems to happen to everyone. I got a cold with congestion and phlegm a couple
weeks before surgery and I attacked it with vitamin C, juice, lots of
liquids, keeping a hat on my head and tylenol. Nothing was going to
postpone my surgery and yes they will postpone you if you're sick. Call
the office about what not to take but the obvious ones are aspirin because
it acts as a blood thinner and vitamin E which can mess with anesthesia.
Good luck and God Bless!

If your cold started recently, you
can use Zicam. It is a miracle drug! It comes in nasal swabs or pump nasal
spray and if taken in the first stages of a cold, it shortens the life of the cold by half. Good luck! Alli--Open RNY

I highly recommend Zicam cold
remedy. We use the nasal gel, and it makes our colds much better by the next day! I
recommend it to post-ops, pre-ops and non-ops alike!
