Question:
Where can I purchase binder on internet?
Can someone please tell me where I can purchase a binder on line? I had open RNY on 3/10/03 & weighed 333 with alot of my weight in stomach area. I feel I would be more comfortable and alot happier. Thanks for any help, Janie — TexFlutterby (posted on March 15, 2003)

I have no idea where you can get one on the internet but have you asked
your surgeon for one? I woke up from surgery with one on and left the
hospital with it. They even had a spare for me. My surgeon has them in
his office. I just had my tummy tuck 5 weeks ago and the binder I had in
the hospital was too large after the swelling started going down and I went
by his office and got a smaller one - for free. Also, if there is a
medical supply store near you, they probably have them.

An idea. Some surgeons (like my plastic surgeon) use a long ace type
bandage as a binder. You can get them at almost any pharmacy or medical
supply store (I couldn't as I lived in nowhere-ville) but bought them over
the counter in MX even. They are about 12" wide and I'd guess about
6' long. They are stretchy alot like a cheap ace bandage and even have the
hooks included. You double or triple it over depending on your size, wrap
around and secure with those little metal hook things. Its easy to use,
adjusts as the swelling goes down, are super cheap, and are washable. I
had several and chose to sometimes wear two layers of it for extra support.

I had reconstructive surgery about a month ago and have been wearing a
really comfortable binder. It is made by DALE. You can check it out at:
