Question:
I have US healthcare and they will not pay for the lapband surgery.
I can switch health carriers in January. My other choice is CIGNA. DOes anyone know if they will reimburse for lapband surgery? How can I find out if they will before I switch? Thanks, Terry — Terry R. (posted on September 7, 2002)

I love my band!
I went to Mexico for $6500 and got my band and had a great experience.

If insurance will not pay you could save and self pay. Good Lux

I have Cigna Healthcare, and I was approved last Thursday for the lapband
surgery. You might try an appeal if you haven't done that yet.

I am sorry--I read your question wrong. I would change to Cigna --I do
know that they cover the RNY and Lapband--although I know that our premiums
are going way up for next year. You might want to check that first.
