Good question! I'd like to know myself, since I also have PCOS and a
problem with facial hair. I made the mistake of shaving it a few years ago
and now I have to keep doing so quite often. PCOS is somewhat hormonal, so
shouldn't it get better with weight loss? If not...what has everyone else
done about facial hair? How about laser hair removal? Thanks :)

I haven't noticed a huge difference. I have lost 125 with 115 to go. My dr
told me some pcos sufferers will notice a big difference, some won't.
However, losing weight does help the symptoms of pcos so when you lose the
weight if you get laser or another permanent hair removal it will at least
work. Some people with pcos also get quickly to goal, but my surgeon warned
me it can also cause slower loss, even with the surgery. Still, I am
losing, just not as fast as others:) The best thing I found for facial hair
is a combo of birth control pill and spirolacatone. If your hair isn't pcos
related but is instead hormone related (many obese women have excess
tetesterone along with the excess estrogen stored in fat) then losing
weight will make a big difference, as the tetesterone level goes down so
should the male symptoms. Good luck
if you think you have pcos, or for anyone who does, check out
soulcysters.com for some great info, articles, and just a chance to be
among women who *get* how frustrating it is to be the bearded woman.

You cannot "ungrow" hair. Meaning that once the hair is there,
it is there. It may change in thickness/color depending on your hormonal
changes after surgery, but it will never stop to exist. Sad, but true.
Also, it takes a while for your hormones to produce a hair (it doesn't
happen overnight)- so once your hormones change for the better, it will
take a while to notice ANY difference, if at all.
