Are you talking about Dan Procter in Gainesville, Ga? If so, he usually
does the open RNY, but I don't know if he would do what you're interested
in. Call his office and ask to speak to Millie- she will tell you. You
can usually get her in the PM. Good luck!
Dr. Procter did my surgery Mon and I am up and around with minimal
discomfort this morning- open RNY. He's terrific, and so is Millie, Joy
and Wayne- I'm so glad I didn't go to a DR. that just slices and dices.

Hi- I haven't had my surgery yet, but I did go to the information meeting
that he had this month and he was warning people to stay away from doctors
that did the mini bypass surgery, saying that it was one of the more
dangerous ones. I think that if he is that against it, he wouldn't perform
it, but I guess you could check. To my knowledge he only does two
surgeries, the lap-band and RNY and his preferred is RNY. He only does the
lap-band if your body could not stand the RNY, like heart problems or
something, or if you couldn't be under anethesia long.
