Question:
Has anyone here personally regretted ever having WLS? If so, why?

I like you was looking for someone who regretted having this
done. I found only one man! He sounded like he would have been unhappy
with any outcome. As for myself I have moments where I would like to be
able to
eat like I used to, BUT, it is only momemtary! Too many great reasons to
even think
abouts regrets!!

Even in the miserable first few post-op weeks, I NEVER asked myself
"What have I done?" or regretted this decision in any way. I
feel freed!

On the night I had surgery a very obese nurst was getting be out of bed for
my first walk.I was Open RNY , she asked me if knowing how bad the pain was
would I do it again , I said absolutly , the pain will go away and I will
get better each day.(the people here who I've come to trust and rely on are
proof of that, and I have always kept that with me.)Somehow when she put me
back in bed she forgot to hook up my morphine pump and nurse call button !!
When the next shift found me screaming in pain . the gave me a great big
shot of morphine and I was able to get some peace. Even with no pain meds
I'd do it.I feel great and I look great and nothing , no binge , candy or
pastry can ever make me feel like I do now!
