Question:
Can anyone reccomend a wls supportive family doctor in the Greater Toronto Area?

I'm trying to find a family doctor that will help me and support me in applying to have wls in the US. My current doctor made me do everything myself when I first applied to OHIP and I haven't received an answer yet. It's been over 6 weeks. I've heard that if you're approved, you get an answer right away. Anyway, I need a better doctor that can actually help and not leave me alone in all this. If OHIP declines my application, I'm going to appeal and I'd like a doctor that can do a better job with that. If I'm declined again, I'm going to have to be on the waiting list here in Canada, and I'm going to need a recommendation for a surgeon to go through up here as well. It would be nice having a doctor who knows the ropes in these issues. Can anyone help?    — Lorraine Wentz (posted on February 19, 2005)
