Are you sure its not a staple line disrutpion...SLD? Did you have xrays or
an upper GI that showed this? You may need a revision. Was it your wls
surgeon? I would talk to the doc alittle more and ask questions on exactly
what the problem is, and how to correct it. Rosemary

If you were not transected (meaning, if your pouch was only stapled, and
not cut away, from your remainder stomach), it is possible to develop a
staple-line disruption. This is where the food creates a channel around
the staple-line from the pouch to the remainder. Not only is your capacity
increased, but your ability to feel "full" is also minimized. If
you are not at your goal, you might want to get a second opinion as to
havin the problem corrected (this is known as a "revision" and is
a procedure that many-- but not all-- skilled laparascopic surgeons
throughout the county can do).

Its called a fistula. Yes it can happen. We had one lady in our group
this happened to .. Our surgeon surgically fixed it.
