Question:
How long after surgery can I start going back to curves?
I currently try to get to Curves three times a week. I love it there. i can actually do the workout. I was just curious to know about how long I will be without it after surgery. — lbruzzese (posted on July 28, 2004)

My surgeon let me exercise after 6 weeks. I was still sore so I took it
easy. I didn't do weights just stetching and the treadmill.

I had 'all restrictions lifted' after six weeks, which I beleive is the
norm. Just remember that everyone is different and your surgeon is the one
to give you clearance. but you can walk, walk, walk anytime you want! Take
care, Rachel

I had Lap RNY and my doctor told me to begin weight resistance training
(Curves) at 4 weeks...said it would help with the "excess skin".
He had me begin exercising 30 minutes a day when I was released from the
hospital 2 days afte surgery. I wasn't able to do it (later found out it
was a potassium deficiency), but I tried. Now, at 2 months, Curves is
GREAT!!

It is best to see what your Dr. recommends. I was allowed to resume
exercise at 6 weeks.
