As him... An honest doctor should NOT have any problems giving you the
number of surgies he/she' done and if he/she has lost any patients.

Just ASK the doctor. Before my surgery on 10/8/02, he had done 500 and lost
two. I also asked how many he had to switch from lap to regular cut in the
process of surgery. Answer: 5. The man was unreal. If you need more info or
have any questions, please feel free to email at [email protected]

I just asked. He told me and also discussed why the died (there was only
one, high risk, high BMI).

You can also check the Medical board in your state. I just asked mine and
he told me how many and why?

Ask him, if he is indirect or evasive, question him on it, if he is still
that way, GET A NEW DTR, he might be hiding something.
I asked mine point blank, 2, 2 out of 100's...i was comfortable with that
as he was very forthcoming!
I asked my PS the same thing, NONE!

I agree with everyone, just ask. I did and found out in my surgeons whole
career of almost 30 years he has only had 2 people die and that was from
pulmonary embolisms, I felt confident with that. If he doesn't answer I
would look for someone who will!

I interviewed two surgeons personally before I made my decision. Both told
me the answer to that question, without me asking, in the initial
appointment.
