Question:
How often should I be pooing a day, 1 week out?
I am going poo 3-4 times a day. Of course, its all liquid, but I'm curious if this is normal. — Renee B. (posted on November 19, 2003)

The first two weeks were terrible for me. I had diarrhea so bad I had a
hard time leaving the house. I am now 13 weeks post op and have never been
more regular in my life. Once a day, first thing in the morning, and that's
it for the day. It is pretty amazing.

It is very normal especially if your doctor has you on a liquid diet for
the first week or two. It will improve when you start to eat soft to more
solid foods.

I had my surgery on the 10th and am just now getting over the(as my doctor
calls it)"making pudding" stage. Sometimes I would go 6 times a
day. It has finally leveled off to maybe twice a day. It is annoying but I
guess it is good to get all of those toxins out so we can start fresh. Glad
you are doing well!!
By the way, my children say they will NEVER eat pudding again!!!!!!

Whooo! Pooing! Hahahaha, that gave me major giggles. Glad the other posters
said it's normal, I don't feel badly for laughing now. (I have a toddler. I
need to get out more.)
I'm almost 9 weeks post-op and still only poo three times a week. I'm
saving mucho moolah on toilet paper!
