Question:
I am 9 weeks pregnant and 19 weeks post op - I feel like I am eating everything!!!!
My taste are changing and not for the good!! I have a lot going on and it just seems like I am eating and craving junk? Breakfast Today: Yougurt 2 slices raisen toast Snack: x-tra small bananna Bagel Chips (7) Pumpernickel Sticks (10) Lunch: Salad with Lettuce, Tomatoes, onion, Cucumbers and some Mozorella cheese (about an once and a half) Dressing (didn't finish the salad part) Then I ate junk. 4 doughnut holes!!!!! and an apple. Does this sound really bad for someone who is 9 weeks pregnant? I have gained about 4 or 5 pounds and I know I should only gain 3 to 5 during the first tri-mester. I am petrified that I am going to be huge again!!! I was 142 when I got pregnant and now I teter between 146 and 147. Please someone tell me I'm okay? Did anyone have trouble loosing after having a baby and did you taste and appetite go back? — sonjasales (posted on October 28, 2003)

Looks like she had surgery April 2002, so it is 19 months.
<p>
Sonja, I'm 16 months post op and 11 weeks pregnant. I do feel I am eating
more often, and I try to make good choices, but I haven't noticed a gain
yet. I hover between 161-165, which was what I was doing before I got
pregnant. It looks like you are right on target with your weight gain.
Sometimes you just have to eat what your craving, pregnant or not.
Depriving yourself just leads to even worse binges. Good luck with the
pregnancy!
