Question:
Spray Vitamins or Sublingual...are they any good?
I have heard people praise Spray Vitamins(multi and b-12) and others Sublingual b-12. Has anyone used them or know if they work as well or better than chewable? — Sabrina Plunkett (posted on October 4, 2003)

here's what i was told by my physician... spray nasal b-12 is not absorbed
as well or as consistently as sublingual... but ~ sublingual isn't absorbed
as well or consistently as b-12 injections... the nasal spray is an oily
consistency, for the life of me, i cannot imagine why anyone would want to
toot that stuff up their honker for life... but since i've never tried it,
i can't knock it, just state my opinion. i take the b-12 injections
monthly, and ever since i've started the injections, i not only feel
better, the b-12 on my labs comes back normal for the first time since
surgery. i'm 10 mos. out (RNY-open), 105 lbs down, and just bought a size
8 slacks today... woohooeeee. lol...

I use the sublingual B12 tablets 3x a week, and my 3 month and 7 month
bloodwork was perfect. I can't tell you about the injections or spray but
the ones I us are painless and sufficient for me. I'd ask your Dr. for
his/her opinion. Good luck!

I was told by the nutritionist that I saw before WLS that a study had been
done on vitamin absorption and that only about 25% of the nutrients from
the pill form of vitamins is actually absorbed by the body and she highly
recommended the spray and or subligual forms. They seem to be absorbed
better, she herself used both the spray B-12 and the multi vitamin.
