Question:
How can I end this plateau
I'm 15 month out and about 2 months ago I noticed that I've stopped losing weight. I do walk at least 30 minutes a day I don't drink with meals, and drink anywhere from 40 to 64 ounces of water/sugar free liquids a day. Is there anything I can do to jumpstart my weight loss? — Lesa Y. (posted on August 27, 2003)

you ave to eat more. it is a common misconception that if you go with out
you will loose, you will obnly at first until your body realizes thats all
its goign to gbet and slows down to hang onto that little bit, so by
increasing your food and calorie intake (low carbs of course) it kicks your
metobolsim back into working. so oddly enough to end the dreaded plateau,
drink, eat and excecise more! good luck i have been there too!!!

At this far out you really need to be taking in more water as well- 80 oz
at least- it helps your metabolism.

Lisa, I am about 13 mos out and I have been gaining and relosing the same
few lbs for a month or so. I joined Jenny Craig on Monday to shake up my
metabolism. I am 37lbs from goal, and I have already lost a few lbs since
starting 2 days ago. try something different. A lot of post-ops I know do
JC or WW or somethng. Good luck. Heather Open RNY 8-15-02 305/187/150
