Question:
Does anyone have any info on esophogeal ulcers.
I recently had a barium test and my docs nurse call me and said that I have esophogeal ulcers. I checked the library and there was not much info on this subject. My doc is out of town till the 30th and I will be crazy with worry by then...That probably isn't good for the ulcers is it? For those taht remember that I was having major gas pain in my chest....well it turned out not to be gas at all it was these darn ulcers......ALWAYS SEE YOUR DOCTOR. — Oldsoul (posted on June 20, 2003)

I was on Aciphex before surgery for hiatal hernia. Then I had a stricture
at about 10 weeks and when I went in they found an esphosegeal ulcer. I
went back on the Aciphex for 8 weeks. It seems okay now. Yes, always see
your doctor.

You didnt say if it was your regular doctor or surgeon. Esophogeal ulcers
are caused from excessive acid reflux, and can be very serious if left
untreated. Your doctor should have put you on prevacid or aciphex, or
nexium, but Im not a doctor but I had G.U.R.D. and thats what my doctor
told me good luck and get it taken care of ASAP.
