Question:
Is repeat C-Section after WLS ok???
I had my first son via-c-section because apparently...my pelvis is too small. We fully intend to have more children (part of the reason I'm having this surgery)...is a repeat c-section ok? I had the bikini cut, you know about 6 inches just above the pubic hair line. — Renee B. (posted on June 4, 2003)

Hi there,
I too had the same situation. My 1st child was a c-section post op (weight
315lbs and I didn't dialate so they did a c-section). Part of my reason for
having WLS was also about having another baby. I had my surgery in 4/01,
got pregnant 6/02 and delivered 3/03. I did have a repeat csection and it
was wonderful. 10x better than my 1st csection. Being 120lbs lighter made
all the difference in the world. Everything went fine.
So, to answer your question, yes you can have a repeat c section.
Good Luck to you :)

I have had two children by c-section before weight loss surgery and I am
now post-op and I asked my ob/gyn this same question and he said it was no
problem and I would have another c-section with my next one. I hope this
helps.

I had 3 c- sections after having surgery in the 80's.
All was fine. First c-section was the bikini cut. Then my twins and
daughter was delivered via full tummy cut. Scars not very pretty but no
problems with the preg's or the c-sections.
