Question:
3 Months Post Op-Any one have a side ache on the left side?

I am 3 months post op lap RNY. and suddenly I have been having a ache in my left side (not right and my gallbladder has already been removed)It is similar to an ache I experienced as a kid when running laps. Anyway it just will suddenly ache just while sitting motionless. Any ideas?    — Jenny B. (posted on May 27, 2003)

Hi Jenny. I am two weeks post op lap rny, and having the same pain at times. Feels like a pain like you get during heavy exercise. I don't know what it is either, but I hear it's common with lap RNY. If anyone else has this, and knows what it is, let me know too.

I have the same thing. It feels like a "stitch" in your side, ALWAYS my left side, and it is always when I am sitting. My gallbladder has been gone for years and I am almost 4 months out. I have no solutions, just wanted you to know you are not alone.

i had rny surgery on oct. 17th and i felt great. no pain, no nausea. i was home the next day. trying to get protein in any ideas? last night i got this same pain in my left side down by the stomach roll. i thought maybe i over did it. did anyone call their doc? is this something to worry about or just the healing process? i still have my gall bladder. thanks margaret
