Question:
How does V-8 Juice work with our diets and vegetable broth like spinach?

Thats a great idea, I wonder if you removed the total stem off the leaf and
then cooked them and saved the broth of course to drink, and then put the
cooked spinach leaves, through a food processor and pureed them, if that
would work. They always say most of the vitamins and minerals are in the
water after cooking veggies. :0) Thanks for the great idea I'm going to
try it. But as far as how soon after surgery we can do veggies I dont
know,I'm still pre-op

I get cravings for V8 now and do have it occasionally. It is a little high
in sodium. As far as veggies go, I eat them now but they take up room so I
just eat my protein first and then some veggies. If you are anemic make
sure that you are getting your protein and your B12 post op. I have not
tried spinach but I hear anything fiberous could get stuck so I would make
sure that it was VERY pureed and if you are sipping a low calorie broth I
cannot see where that would interfere with your diet. The added chicken
broth will give you a little extra protein too.

Rather early pre-op I had some trouble with solid foods so I was pretty
much living off V8 and protien mix (not together - yech!) for about a while
between weeks 3 and 5. Didn't hurt me at all:)
