Question:
Looked in Q&A w/ no luck-need html code for profile background- have one doesnt work.
I know many of the html codes and have pictures and other things in my profile. But the html code I found for inserting a background does not seem to work for my page and I don't know why. I used <body background="IMAGE URL"> and my background doesn't show up. I like doing my profile, was just wondering if anyone could help with this part? Thanks so much :) — Lezlie Y. I see you're linking your background to an AOL homepage -- your background
code is to that web page, instead of to the pink clouds that are the
background on it (were those what you wanted)? The code that person was
using was:<P>
body
background="http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/angellmy/images/pinksky.bmp"
<P>
I didn't know you could use .bmp files as backgrounds in HTML on the web
(live & learn!), but if you try using that reference as "body
background" instead of the one you are using, maybe it will work this
time (IF AOL allows such links to show up).

Hi Lezlie. I don't think AOL allows remote linking of images on their
webpages, so I uploaded that pink sky background to my domain files which
DOES allow linking. Now all you have to do is replace this part of your
profile codes:
<p>
BACKGROUND="http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/angellmy/pisces.html?mtbrand=AOL_US">
<p>
With this instead:<br>
BACKGROUND="http://www.thumpiez.com/bg/pinksky.jpg">
<p>
If you still have trouble, email me and I'll try to help you get it worked
out. Good luck!!<br>
