Question:
I have spasems in my back every so often is this another co morbidity?
I have never mentioned this to my doctor and plan on doing so when I see her on the 24th. Also stress incontinence as well. — Barbara T. (posted on March 16, 2003)

I don't have an answer to your question, but I am very interested to see
what others have to say about the muscle spasms in your back. I get those
too if I move/stretch a certain way. I also get really severe muscle
cramps (like charley horses) in my abdominal wall muscles. I orginally
thought maybe I had a hernias. I had an abdominal/pelvic ultrasound a few
months ago (followed by CT and MRI for an incidental finding of a small
liver mass) and they found nothing to explain the pain. I also get severe
cramps in the back of my thighs, not to mention the usual charley horses in
my calves and feet (usually when trying to sleep). My labs (electrolytes)
have been normal, so doctor has had nothing to offer in the way of
treatment. It's really painful.
