Question:
Has anyone had a nap study?
I have to go back for my second night of sleep study tonight at 8:00 p.m. and then stay untill 3:00 p.m. Tuesday so they can also do a nap study. If you know what this is all about please let me know Thanks! — Brenda T. (posted on August 11, 2002)

Hi, You are referring to an MSLT or Multiple Sleep Latency Test. That is
where you will stay at the hospital after your overnight study and the
techs will have you to lay down and take a series of naps. They will
monitor and measure how many minutes it takes you to actually fall asleep.
This is done mainly to check for narcolepsy. Email me if you have any
other questions.
