I know that Kaiser has self pay / self employed Ins. Plans. Your best bet
would be to check their website for rates. I think the lowest is like $150,
but not sure what you get for that. Kaiser will make you jump through hoops
to get this surgery. I also, personally, have had problems with Kaiser in
the past, I just don't like them. Go on Lycos, or yahoo and type in like
Pacfic Care, or Blue Cross. Better yet I'll help you out and get back to
you.

Hi There: I am self employed 15 years and I bought Pacific Care that
COMPLETELY covered my surgery. I am now postop 5 1/2 months and am out of
pocket about $225. That is including all of my co pays, post op meds, etc.
I had to show my schedule C of my taxes and a business card. Took me
about 2 hours. I am in California, but I am sure that makes no difference.
