I had to have a sleep study done also. It took approx. 30-
45 minutes to get all the wires hooked up and then I had to
go immediately to bed...at 9:00 p.m.! I could not sleep &
tossed & turned all night & tried to pull off the thing
that was hooked to my nose. I didn't get much sleep that
night. It's very simple...all you have to do is sleep while
you're hooked up to wires and someone will monitor you from
another room.

Kristee,
I have severe sleep apnea and have had 4 sleep studys done in the last 2
years, My best advise is to take the next day off of work because you will
be realy tired.
The key to the sleep study is You get no sleep LOL.
They wake you up every few hours and check breathing, try cpap machine with
different settings, and if you toss and turn like me, they keep coming in
to recheck your hook-up.
The glue they use for the wires is goey (and usually have a few on your
head and in hair) So I have opted to leave the sleep study, go right home,
take a shower and Go to Sleep.
