Question:
Has anyone had their surgery done by Dr. Gaar?

I am having some problems getting a surgery date from Dr. Gaar. Too much to go into...everything approved but having to wait on him. Has anyone else had Dr. Gaar and if so how long did it take to get surgery? Just curious.    — Oldsoul (posted on November 3, 2001)

Dr. Gaar is in the database of this site. Go to the "find a doc" page and follow the links. You will come to a section listing surgeons in KY. Next to Dr. Gaar's name, click on view comments and you will get a section of insurance companies that have paid for surgery with him and next is a section of patient comments. Included in this section is a link to the member's profile and e-mail address. Maybe you could e-mail his patients your specific question. Shelley

I agree with David on this one. (Hi David-by the way!) I had my surgery with Dr. Gaar in Feb. 2001 and have lost 110lbs so far. He is the best doctor I have ever been to. Very talented and very caring. He is going through some changes where he will be teaching more and doing the surgery less, so you are very lucky to have gotten in to see him before he stopped taking new patients. I was just telling my mom how blessed I was to have done the surgery this year-if I had waited just one more year I would have missed the option of having him do my surgery. Just be patient and understand that it will be well worth the wait. Feel free to email me with any other questions you might have.
