I had LAP RNY one week ago. I was told that I can do anything one week
post op, but just be careful. That was my surgeon, though, you may want to
check with yours.

I think you would be ok to start it now. My surgeon released me to full
activity at two and half weeks (I had lap RNY) and that included weight
lifting, abdominal exercises and water aerobics.

Whoa girl!!! Just because you had laproscopic surgery does not mean you can
do this type of exercise any sooner than someone who had open surgery. You
have had an equal amount of internal cutting and sewing/stapling. You need
to wait 6 weeks! Also, don't vacuum or move your furniture around or lift
over 10 pounds. Just walk for now.

Hi Anne! I started working out in earnest at 6 weeks post-op. I always
started any new moves carefully until I was sure they wouldn't cause any
major discomfort. My doctor said that at that point I could do anything I
wanted including crunches. I still took it slow, though, 'cause it felt
kinda funny! Good luck with your Tae Bo!
