Question:
I have a lump next to my incision...

Had Open RNY 9 days ago. My incision is about 6 inches long. I have a walnut-sized lump to the left of the incision, about half way up. Could this be a hernia? I am having my staples out in 5 days.    — barbpatter (posted on August 4, 2001)

It is very likely scar tissue built up. I had the same thing occur with my c-sections. The dr will be able to tell you when he looks at it.
