Those with the Empire Plan (NYS Employees) ...

Anybody who has had WLS and have The Empire Insurance Plan for New York State Employees - how much did you have to pay out of pocket? Just wondering...    — tracyr (posted on July 24, 2001)

I have Empire. My hubby is with NYS DOT. I am having my Open RNY in two days. My Dr.'s office handled everything with the insurance company and I expect to have to pay my copay and that is it! They approved me with my participating doctor 7 days after the paperwork was submitted. Good Luck!!
