Question:
Where can I buy a yogurt maker?
I use to make my own yogurt when my kids were babies because I didn't want them to have all that sugar. Now I want to make my own yogurt again so I won't get all that sugar but I can not find a yogurt maker anywhere. Does anyone know where I could get a yogurt maker? The yogurt maker I had years ago was made by Salton. Homemade yogurt tastes great and is really cheap to make! Thanks everyone. — Laura R. (posted on July 23, 2001)

Wow Laura...you had an actual appliance for making yogurt? I used to make
it myself too. I used a big glass jar, as I recall, and just kept it in a
warm place. You're right, it does taste much better than the processed
yoghurts, they mess around with them too much. I can't get over the silly
appliances they sell though. Remember the omlette makers and crepe makers
of the 70's? Your yoghurt maker must have been from the same era. I think
I will try to make some too...let me know how you do.

Hi Laura,
I know I've seen it at BJ's wharehouse club and WalMart.
Also, some of the ice cream makers/sorbet can also make yogurt. I know I
can make yogurt with my Dehydrator from Ron Popeil altho I've never done
it. Best of luck in finding them.
