Has anyone had surgery at Riverside General Hospital or L.B. Johnson

Has anyone had surgery at Riverside General Hospital or L.B. Johnson Hospital? I do not have insurance and am currently going through Texas Rehab. I am also looking into something called the Hill Burton grant for hospitals. Anyways, I have research many of the surgeons and have finally settled on Dr. Wongsa, but he doesnt even know that yet, Its just my personal opinion. Anyhow, under this program the hospital that Dr. Wongsa performs at does not participate in it. So I am going to have to look for another doc, even though I really had my heart set on him, but what I really really want is to get this surgery. The only 2 hospitals that participate in this program are Riverside General and L.B.Johnson hospitals. Soooo, my question is does anybody know of any docs that perform at this hospitals and has anybody had their surgery there? I know that LB Johnson is a good hospital, my brother was there for 8 months because of an injury and he got great care. I would go through the list of Dr.'s on the website and contact them all and see if any of them can help. I thought Medicaid covered WLS. I had my first surgery, a VBG in 1982 and they covered it then, but I guess they stopped. Good luck in your search!!!
