Question:
Has anyone had to have a CAT Scan due to something they found during tests?

I had my pre-op tests last week and they did an ultrasound on my gallbladder. My surgeons office called yesterday and said that they found a dense area in the abdominal area and want me to have a CAT Scan done. They said it is usually just a cyst or due to the excess weight, but now I am worried that my surgery will be cancelled. I am due to have surgery July 3. I also had this problem, the dense spot they found on me was on my kidney, I had to go to a urologist and have him clear me for surgury before they would operate on me. As it turned out my urologist operated on me because they couldnt identify what was on my kidney. I went through a ultrasound and then a cat scan, so dont be alarmed atleast with the cat scan they can find everything else wrong in the abdominal area.
