Does anyone know of a doc in Houston willing to do RNY on patient that had reversal

Well, I guess that would depend on the reason for the reversal (physical problems or inability to emotionally handle the surgery?) If it was physical, then it would depend on what shape the stomach is in now, if it was emotional then I would think there would be a lot of testing required to make sure the restrictions could be tolerated now. It's hard to know based on the little bit of information. I did not have a reversal, but I did have a revision with Dr. Ferrari last year (he revised me from a failed VBG to a RNY). He has done many revisions so it would be worth a shot to call him. Also, I've heard that Dr. Wongsa is willing to take on patients that other surgeons in Houston won't touch so there is another avenue. Good luck!

Thanks Kellye. Dr. Wongsa did my RNY in May so naturally that is who I sent her first. He is no longer doing high risk surgery such as revisions anymore. But I will have her to check out Dr. Ferrari and others have emailed me with names too. Thanks
