Question:
Can you take medicine for restless legs after surgery?
I take Requip or Permax, both of which make me vomit now. How will the new pouch handle such medicine? Anyone have experience with this? Please Help! — [Anonymous] (posted on April 25, 2001)

I also take Requip for Restless Legs Syndrome and have been able to take it
successfully since my fourth day post-op. You might have to experiment
with the times you take it so that the Requip is not competing with food
for the limited pouch space. I have never experienced nausea or vomiting
with it either pre-op or post-op, but if I did I think I would check with
my neurologist for other possible medication options.

I take Permax for restless leg syndrome. I took it day four after surgery
and have had no problems. I have never experienced nausea or vomiting with
it either. I hope you don't experience any further problems with it. Good
luck!
