Question:
Has anyone had both surgeries and a breast lift, all at the same time?
I'm interested in all opinions/experiences. Also, if there's anyone in the Houston/Clear Lake area that has had plastic surgery and can recommend someone, I'd be grateful. Thanks! — Cindy R. (posted on April 23, 2001)

From what I understand its not all that likely. They are all considered
major surgeries on their own.. and the body suffers a great trauma. An
experiences surgeon will be able to tell you best what is best for you and
safest. Good luck.

I think I need to revise my question. I've already had the RNY surgery
(6.5 months ago, down 88 #s with another 40 to go). During my 6 month
checkup, my doctor found a hernia. Trying to kill three birds with one
stone, I'm inquiring about hernia, tt, and breast lift. Thanks!

I am in the plastic surgery approval stages...I need a hernia repair with
abdominoplasty, brachioplasty, and thighplasty. I've consulted with three
surgeons. All three said yes, they can be done at once, but only one
recommended doing so. I will be having hernia repair with abdominoplasty
first, then arms and thighs at the same time. Length of time under
anesthesia and recovery play a big factor in their willingness to do
multiple procedures at once. Also, you should be at least one year post-op
before the operation so your body is fully recovered from the wls. Being
15-25 lbs from your goal weight is ideal for optimal results. Best wishes!
