I'm interested to know what PVC is. I have heart problems also and this
may affect me having WLS.

PVC's stand for Premature Ventricular Contractions. (arrythimias, skip
beats, etc. also sometimes with mitral valve prolapse.)

Yes....I was having arrythmias almost daily (PVC's) and had them for years.
My doctor could not seem to explain why I had them. Then a friend
mentioned her doctor said that her PVC's were the result of low magnesium
levels from taking a diuretic with her blood pressure meds. She was told
to go to the pharmacy and buy over the counter a product called " Slow
Magnesium" (time released). So I did and I started taking it. My
PVC'd decreased a lot but didn't stop completely until after I had my WLS
and stopped taking blood pressure meds (and especially diuretics at my WLS
doc's orders). He said he almost didn't do my surgery because my potassium
levels were depleted by the diuretics. I haven't taken any BP meds since.
My bp is stable and healthy and best news of all I no longer have PVC's.
Hope this helps.
