Question:
Where can I find ICD codes?
I am basically trying to fight my own battle with insurance. (I have state insurance and my surgeon's insurance people doubt they'll cover it so they haven't been very supportive) I received yet another suspended letter from my insurance today and they've requested ICD codes for all of my co-morbidities. I have seen them posted somewhere before, but can't find them (I know I know I should've marked it when I seen it) — Elizabeth D. (posted on March 11, 2001)

This web site might be a good start: http://cedr.lbl.gov/icd9.html
Hope this helps. Good luck.

You can find some information on ICD9 in The DSM4-found at your local
bookstore. ICD9 stuff is towards the back of the book

I recall seeing some codes in some insurance letters and an appeal letter
that posted on another web site. The address is www.clos.net You will need
to click on the insurance approval area (on left hand side at the bottom of
the home page). Then read over some of the sample letters. The appeal
letter is 47 pages and very well written. I hope this helps!
