Question:
GP won't do prelim tests because they aren't covered by ins.
My GP wrote a letter recommending the surgery but won't do the preliminary tests ordered by the surgeon because he says that the insurance company won't pay for them. Have you had the insurance company refuse to pay for preliminary tests to detect problems? I have Aetna PPO. Anyone have experience with them about this? I don't have a lot of comorbidities, maybe that is the reason. Anyway what do y'all think? — [Anonymous] (posted on February 8, 2001)
