Question:
I am having horrible burning pain!!
I am 7 weeks post-op and all has been very uneventful and normal so far, until two days ago I started having this amazing burning pain right below my breastbone(I guess my stomach). It is so painful it is worse than my immediate post- surgical pain was. A blood test and an x-ray was done and there was no obvious problem, everything looked fine. It doesn't seem to be effected by eating at all. When I cough it hurts so bad I think I am going to pass out. I am remaining anonymous because I don't want to scare anyone who knows me. Ok, here's my two-cents. I get an uncomfortable, burning sensation below
the breastbone when i haven't had enough water. strange but true. mostly in
the mornings (not toting around my go-cup in bed, you know) and if i don't
get up, have a tall glass of water and then go about my business i'll get
what i call "dry heartburn." once my fluid level goes back up,
the burning sensation goes away.
