Question:
How much leakage is normal for an open incision?

I have noticed for the last couple of days that my incision has started to leak when ever i press on it. First it started right around the staples but now it is leaking from the incision itself. i am now 11 days post op and have an appointment to have my staples removed tomorrow Friday, 10-27-00, by my surgeon. Is this sort of leakage or drainage normal if so how much and should it look or smell a certain way. Please email me at home with any responses. Thank you and God Bless.
