Question:
How soon after surgery are we able to return to the chiropractor?
I go to the chiropractor 2-3 times per week for corrective back and neck treatments. How long do I have to wait after surgery until I can go back? Any info anyone may have would be greatly helpful. Thanks! :) — Alyssa A. (posted on August 2, 2000)

I was able to have a seated adjustment from day one and was able to lay on
my stomach by about 4 weeks out.

After my recent revision, I was SO sore, I think they must've practices
making pretzles with my unconscious body in OR! LOL! I started going
immediately, within a few days and my chiro did me sitting up at first,
then we gradually worked on my comfort level of being able to lie down.
Mine doesn't really use the method of "cracking", but uses a
little "gun" adjuster. So, even as I started to lie on my tummy,
I didn't experience any undue pain.

I went to my first chiro appt the day before surgery. I was at 310. I
went for my first visit after surgery about 1 month later. I layed on the
table for no more than 2 or 3 minutes. It wasn't much of a problem.
