Question:
Hey guys, I found out I got approved as of yesterday

Now I am scared to death. Its like a mixture of total disbelief and happiness yet I am so scared at the same time. I dont have a date yet scheduled because I have to call the surgeon and I guess wait till they get the approval letter too. I am afraid my nerves are going to be fried before I ever get there!!! LOL....well, I just wanted to let you know. Its been a long 7 months but it finally happened.    — PNethery (posted on June 27, 2000)

I totally understand how you are feeling because I got approved a couple of weeks ago. That was the strangest feeling! Good luck.........

Congragulations Peggy! I think the emotions you are feeling are absolutly normal. I just found out a few weeks ago that I was approved and for a couple of days I just walked around in disbelief thinking the phone would ring and someone would explain to me that a mistake had been made. You will do just fine, I am finding that keeping busy is takeing my mind off of it so I am sure I won't start to get really nervous until the 18th of July when I go into the Medical College of VA in Richmond,VA for my preop. From then on til I have surgery there on the 24th of July, I will be a bundle of emotions. Good Luck to you and all of you who will be haveing your surgeries soon.
