Question:
Has anyone been approved for this surgery that didn't have a lot of co-morbids?

I was approved. I weighed 300 at 5'6" and had no other problems other
then my weight making me tired, and short of breathe. It all depends on
your insurance companys feelings on 100+ over weight. good luck to you. :)

I was approved without any co-morbids. My start weight was 257 with a 5'8
frame and a BMI of a 40.4. I chose the VBG procedure.
Good luck

I did not have any bad problems, just sore nees and back. I too was
worried the insurance would not approve me, but they did. Good Luck!!

I didn't have many comorbids, I had a bad knee and pains everywhere from
being obese. But other than the bad knee, I didn't have the
"classic" comorbids like diabetes, high blood pressure, etc...I
was one of those "healthy" fat people LOL Hope this helps...Good
Luck,
Marni

Insurance approval in 3-4 days. Go for it!

I was approved 9 days after the 1st letter to my insurance company. I have
no major co-morbids. Also, I had a borderline BMI of 40.8, although it
seems to be climbing on a daily basis. Go figure.
