Question:
Pain on my left side when I eat
Hello. I am having pain in my left side when I eat. Its not eith anything. Its when I eat solids. Liquids or musy foods no pain at all. Its way at the bottom where my belly button is and way to left. Is that my stomach? I have to see my surgeon on the 14th and I can't get in an earlier to see her? What could this be? I am 8 months post op. — SuniRx (posted on June 4, 2005)

When was the last time you saw your surgeon, did you have this pain then?
If you haven't seen him/her for a while, this would be an excellent
oportunity to investigate it's origins, meanwhile stick with the foods you
can manage untill you and your Doctor know what your problem is. Your WLSA
surgeon should be a life long point of reference from now on. Good luck to
your future weight loss plans.

Sometimes if you are having complications then the drs staff will put you
in earlier. Did you tell the person on the phone that you made the appt
with that you were having this pain? Just a thought :-)

I don't have any answers, but I have a question. Could it possibly be a
hernia? Hernias happen near the belly button. If it is, you need to tell
someone that you need to be seen (and even if it isn't). Sometimes you have
to be persistant with the staff to get what you need done. Good luck and
let us know how it turns out. Lisa

that is where my DH gets pain w/ an attack of diverticulitis, which is
avery serious thing. You really should see a doctor about this.
