I am no expert, and am only 4 months post op myself, but I would say that
it is absolutely normal! Don't even concern yourself with the number on the
scale. Let your body heal and adjust, if you average your loss over the
number days, your doing great. That always makes me feel better. Also, I
would discourage you from even getting on the scale daily. The weight will
come off, how can it not? Good luck Angela

Totally normal. You may even go for 2 weeks without losing, then all of a
sudden, drop several pounds in one day and keep losing steadily until the
next dreaded plateau. It's frustrating, but that's just the way it works.
Enjoy the ride!

I think it sounds fabulous! Don't worry about the last few days. I think
it's your body's way of catching up to the major loss of the last couple of
weeks. Congratulations to you on your success! Kimberly (6 mos post op
Lap-RNY; now a happy 165lbs!)

Please stay off the scale--- I know you don't want to hear this but
weighing yourself every day will do one of 2 things: make you smile when
the numbers go down and make you crazy when the numbers stay the same.
You're completely normal to stay at the same weight for a few days even
this soon after surgery. Concentrate on transitioning to pureed food,
drinking enough water and maybe start walking for exercise if you feel
strong enough. I think it's great that you've lost 23 lbs but also try
keeping track of inches as well-- sometimes when the scale stays the same
the inches will change.

I didn't mean to sound so serious in my last post!! But I remember what
those first few weeks were like, when I weighed myself in every room of my
house because the scale said somthing different in each room. I drove
myself crazy and I just don't want anyone else to feel like a scale
"slave". So... enjoy your journey.

That's a LOT of weight to lose in just 2 WEEKS!! You've probably hit a
plateau. Give it some time and the weight loss will start up again.
