Searching for a Support Group

I am about 9 weeks out from open RNY (gall bladder removed.) My recovery has been amazing. This afternoon I started to have pain in my abdomen, about six inches above my belly button. It also "feels" different when I press on each side of my incision. Should I wait and see if it gets better or go to the ER. I would definitely call your surgeon and tell him exactly what it feels like. Any kind of weirdness or pain after this surgery is worth looking into. I used to be the same way about not running to the dr., but post-surgical stuff is serious! I'm wondering if you've done the hernia test and if you've maybe overdone it without thinking? Hope you get to the bottom of it. Don't worry about bugging the doctors. Bug away! Good luck!
