Question:
3 day diet

The other day there was a site for a 3-day diet. I found the site. My question is does anyone knows if it works? I still have about 60 pounds or so to lose and I need a boost. I am getting exercise regular but my eating habits are not so good.(lots of snacking lately). Can anybody tesitfy to the 3 day diet? — twin94 (posted on February 23, 2004)

If you want a great diet that works well for post-ops, try South Beach. It's awesome and has my Mom's blood sugar down to normal for the first time in her adult life (she's diabetic).

This diet plan seems a lot like one I did years ago...only difference was I took some kind of supplement then. It looks like a lot more that I can eat at a time. Im gonna give it a try! Good luck to you, I'll let ya know if I have progress!

I did this diet a few years ago. I only did two days and lost about 6lbs. Weak on myself. It worked and I was surprised that I didn't regain the weight for months down the road. It was alot easier than most diets to me. Enjoy it does work!

The three-day diet link took me to a diet that recommends ice cream for dessert, and breads and crackers. No particular emphasis on protein.
It doesn't allow for any snacking, so for those who are having grazing issues, perhaps that's why it works?
But, it also doesn't allow you to make good use of the "tool" (pouch) ... and allows for stuff like ice cream every night ... so I can't see anything special (or effective) about this diet. If somebody loses on it, I think it's time to re-evaluate what they're eating regularly. I'd think you might've wandered pretty far off the WLS reservation if a regime like this (featuring sugars, starches) produces weight loss.
Then again, stranger things have happened.

Hi Margaret This sounds like a good calorie regime to go on. Just make sure u get in your protein on the days that your not doing this regime. Im going to try it starting monday and i will report back to u to see if there is a difference. Im at my 1 year post-op goal but i want to lose 10lbs more to be at my life long goal. Good Luck
