Question:
Post op and loose skin? is it to late???
I am 31 yr old and 10 mo post op down to 190 from 320. My body is saggy all over. I have not been doing much exercise either I was wondering is it to late. If I start a more agressive exercise routine and up my water intake will my skin "firm" up some or am I going to have to look into plastic surgery. — Marcia M. (posted on September 15, 2003)

The previous post is correct. You do still need to excersize but don't
expect that skin to go away. I have worked out 6 days a week for 7 months
straight and 3 or 4 days a week before that, since my surgery, 11 months
ago. The skin is not going away, only flapping around. I am having my arms
done on 10/17 but that is probably the only thing I will be able to afford
so I will just keep the rest of it covered up. I weigh 162 but I know at
least 15 lbs of that is excess skin. That is still better than 300 lbs of
fat.
