Question:
How do I get off a few extra pounds
I had a RNY june 2001 I started at 293 and got down to 161. I just had a baby March 2003 with her I gained about 25-30 pounds and now I am at a stand still at 170. I just need some advice on how to start my weight loss after 2 years. Thanks:) — Tiffini P. (posted on June 10, 2003)

Breast feed! That will take the weight off faster than anything. The older
your baby gets, the more milk you will have to produce. It takes
approximately 800 - 1000 calories a day to create breast milk for your
baby. I breast fed all three of my babies and the weight just melted off of
me. By the time your baby is 6 months old, you will be at your prepregnancy
weight. Awesome, huh!

You may want to try to go back to your early "RNY" diet of high
protein, no or low carbs. Atkins works. Good luck,

Adkins diet is the best diet to go on rather you want to lose a few pounds
or 200 pounds. No carbs at all.

Tiffini - I don't know if you are doing any protein shakes at all, but my
best advice is to go on the protein shakes and try to cut back on carbs.
Increase your water intake. I'm currently doing a protein feast in which I
drink nothing but protein shakes and water for 3 days. I normally drink
4-6 shakes a day so this is nothing, just more to drink and more to
pee.....Good luck.
