Question:
Can you still have RNY if you have a small ulcer

I went for my endoscopy today and then said that I have a small ulcer. They gave me medication for it and told me to take it until surgery.. Is this going to affect my surgery???    — Jaime K. (posted on May 28, 2003)

I certainly would NOT do anything until that ulcer is eradicated. You didn't say where in the stomach it is, but you want it as close to erased as possible. No point in starting out with a "seed" for trouble.
