Question:
Has anyone had bile build up 2 weeks post-op?

Two weeks after my LAP RNY I start having a awful pain on my left side and I went back to the hospital.My surgeon order abdominal CAT SCan and found out that I had a fluid build up. So, they went through my abdominal wall into my new pouch, put a drain and then they removed a large seringe of bile.I still have the drain and a bag which collects the bile. I would like to know if anyone has experienced the same thing and how long it took to get better?    — Claudia P. (posted on April 23, 2003)
