Question:
Does anyone know of anything that we can take to assit with the foul odor associated with BMs/flatulance? I recently was revised to a distal and have found that the odor is wicked--much worse than I experienced with my vertical bnding or proximal RNY. I have seen air freshners etc. but was wondering if ther is a product we can take to help things "on the inside". — Joanne M. (posted on April 9, 2003)

Joanne, you can purchase Devrom chewable oral tablets. I've heard these are
okay. Check www.parthenoninc.com and/or call 1-800-453-8898 for a free
sample.

I also recommend Devrom but also cut back on carbs especially white flour
and potatoes. That's what causes my gas. They sit in your large intestine
and ferment. Good luck.

Hello!
I had the lap band surgery about 2 years ago. I had been trying to find a
good liquid liquid vitamin/supplement and someone introduced me to Vibe. I
had the same problem you described in your post. I have been taking it for
a year now and feel so good in so many ways. I want to get the word out to
fellow lap band/gastric bypass patients.
If you are interested in hearing more about it, or trying it for a month,
please feel free to call me and ask questions.
